Animals in New Zealand

These animals are alpacas. They originally live in South America but now they also live in America, Europe or New Zealand. They are usually had as domestic animals and there are few wild alpacas.

They look like sheep or camels, don't they? They belong to camelid. Their weight is about 50 kilograms and their height is about 2 meters. They eat grass or laver. Their wool is used in many ways like sheep. For example, sweaters, caps, gloves and scarves.

We are also able to see alpacas in Japan. Alpaca Farm is in Tochigi Prefecture. There are about 400 alpacas. No other farm has much alpacas than there. You can take a walk with a baby of alpacas and can take a picture with it. If you interested in alpacas but you can't go to New Zealand, you should go Alpaca Farm!
